Just read your relish recipe - very timely, as I have coincidentally a big pot ofmy tomato relish bubbling away downstairs right now ! I'm using the old recipe I got from my Mum which is a staple in my pantry for the year. The tomatoes are at their peak of flavour here now so right time to make it. Don't let anyone tell you that you can get away with using damaged or inferior fruit or vegetables for relishes and chutneys - in my (humble) opinion if you are going to the trouble to make homemade products then you deserve the best chance of success and top quality ingredients DO make a difference !

Homemade is definately worth it - give it a go !!!!
